Who we have helped
They say every dog has his day. Fortunately, Benjamin's has finally come. The 4-month-old Australian cattle-husky mix was left one night in early May in the
Tallahassee Animal Service Center's drop-off kennels with a broken leg.
Read how Benjamin, now named Linus,
went from hurt and homeless to having a forever home.

Meet
B.K. the little dynamo. He is available for adoption
through the Tallahassee Animal Shelter. He suffered
from a broken leg but
thanks to his friends who donated to ASF he is on his
road to recovery and will be as good as new when his
cast comes off. B.K. was fostered by Shannon Carrol
who loved and nurtured B.K. to his recovery. So drop
by the Shelter and visit B.K. and take home a new friend.

The

help care for the shelter animals. Gathering donations
is a great school volunteer project too!

It
is a myth that dogs are color blind. They can
actually see in color, just not as vividly as
humans. It is akin to our vision at dusk.
The
fumes from moth balls destroy a cat's liver
cells. Use cedar in your closet instead.
